What is tanalised decking?

TANALITH E pressure treated deck boards have a long-term protection against fungal and also insect attack.  This covers both in and out of ground contact, and interior and exterior applications. TANALITH E pressure treated timber has an initial natural green colouration. Upon external exposure, the green colour weathers to a warm, honey brown and becomes a natural silver grey. This weathering process does not indicate any loss of preservative protection.

How long will tanalised timber last?

The process of tanalising timber involves the treatment being forced deep into the timber cells. This keeps the wood free from rot and with proper maintenance you can also expect many years of use out of your timber decking.

Log Selection

Careful material selection is key to quality products. We hand-select raw materials to meet the specific needs of each component, ensuring they come from the best part of the log.

At the ‘green mill,’ we saw saturated logs into rectangular shapes, which can tear fibers, leaving a rough surface. To season timber, we also remove much of its internal moisture. After seasoning, we then machine the wood to create smooth surfaces.

Helping to maintain ‘Forests For All Forever’

The global benchmark for responsible forest management, The FSC logo identifies products which contain wood from well-managed forests. These are certified in accordance with the rules of the Forest Stewardship Council. FSC is an international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests.

Our forests give us many things like books, tissues, furniture and furthermore, life. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) helps take care of forests and the people and wildlife who also call them home. Buying products identified with either schemes logo helps support the growth of responsible forest management worldwide.
